Dance Devil Dance

The Swedish metal band Avatar are currently on their way across the UK joined by Veil of Maya and Mastiff, I made my way down to their Wolverhampton show at KK’s Steel Mill owned by the former Judas Priset guitarist KK Downing.

There are a lot of artists at this level who know how to give an amazing performance but wont often have the insight to put on a genuine stageshow; Avatar buck this trend. They’re one of the rare bands in these modern times who think about all aspects of their liveshow from how they enter the stage, how to keep you interested during each individual track and how to leave with the audience still wanting more.

First Inversion

I’m incredibly fortunate to be friends with so many amazing upcoming bands, Telfords ‘Recall The Remains’ just happen to be one of those amazing bands. I recently made my way to Wolverhampton’s KK’s Steel Mill to photograph their performance while supporting ‘Suffer’. Whilst there I also decided to record a quick minute long live video, I’ve been playing around with video a lot more lately and I never thought I’d say this but I’ve really been enjoying it. So much so infact that it’s now going to be a service I offer to coincide my regular photography offerings, anyway please enjoy my live footage and my images of the evening.

I Need It More Than Ever

Every now and then I get to work with some cool bands and even cooler people. Straight For The Sun are a group I’ve known for many years and I’ve watched them grow from a small pub band to a bunch of dudes who are touring the UK and supporting well established acts from the likes of Skindred and Diamond Head.

We’re just under a week away from the release of their latest single ‘Walk’ dropping May 15th and if this teaser is anything to go by, we’ll have a new lyric video to enjoy too. So before the new single drops I wanted to go back and share some images from deep within the archives, the moments backstage leading up to two of Straight For The Suns’ biggest shows; performing to a sold out crowd at KK’s Steel Mill Wolverhampton supporting Skindred and supporting the legendary Diamond Head also at KK’s Steel Mill.

If you would like any more info about the band regarding their origins, proudest moments and of course latest single ‘Walk’, then check out this interview with Harmonies and Heartache for all of the latest information.
