Hey! I've Got A YouTube Now

What started out as a bit of fun on the weekend has slowly morphed into something entirely of it’s own. Let’s be real here, I love music, I love photographing music but the love of capturing live performances has dwindled slightly over recent years. I’m not saying that I won’t ever return to live music but I’m definitely being a lot more selective now; only photographing bands who genuinely interest me.

For the forseeable future however I’m going to be putting a lot more effort into my wildlife photography and videography. I’ve managed to put out a video every week for the last two months with two little bonus vids thrown in while also creating a small backlog in case I’m not able to record on any given week.

I love it.

Getting out into the wild; just myself, some binoculars and a camera. No more waiting in queues, waiting around between artists, just myself and an open path. I can’t tell you how liberating these past two months have been for myself.

Away from all of the emotions, if you have a spare couple of minutes please feel free to check out a few of my videos and if you are in a band needing a tog, you can still get in touch. You just better be bringing your ‘A’ game when you get yourselves on stage. 😉

Dance Devil Dance

The Swedish metal band Avatar are currently on their way across the UK joined by Veil of Maya and Mastiff, I made my way down to their Wolverhampton show at KK’s Steel Mill owned by the former Judas Priset guitarist KK Downing.

There are a lot of artists at this level who know how to give an amazing performance but wont often have the insight to put on a genuine stageshow; Avatar buck this trend. They’re one of the rare bands in these modern times who think about all aspects of their liveshow from how they enter the stage, how to keep you interested during each individual track and how to leave with the audience still wanting more.
